What lakes can you catch zander on in ND?

I object, the difference is quite noticeable in a Zander from the size of 6" and bigger once you've seen a couple of them.

    Lake Holmes

Anywhere around the island to the north of the boat ramp. Lots of people fish the far east tip of the island, or they did back when i lived around there four years ago.

    Ice Auger

No sure a drill set up would work for you shorthairsrus; I run a dewalt with 5AH batteries until the ice hits about 20" on the old 8" K-drill with clam plate. I'd recon I get 15 holes per battery in 20" ice, but i don't run and gun like most people. My kids are young, I usually hit a morning...

    Ice Auger

I've cut with a friends SM40v and my dad's Ion Gen3. Really couldn't tell you which is better cuz they were both awesome. I will say I liked the grip/feel/handle set-up of the Ion of the SM.

    Time for a Hub Shelter

Second the anchor comment here. It's not worth the crazy ND wind picking up instantly and sending your shelter over your head and wreaking havoc in the process (lessons learned). I always put that anchor in, attach my strap (the refuge comes with them installed), and position the house down wind.

    Time for a Hub Shelter

I have a Clam Refuge (insulated/thermal) I'd be willing to part ways with. It fishes me and two kids pretty easy. I'm looking to upgrade to the 5 sided Clam, rather than the refuge.

    Ice Fishing for ND Crappie

Tons of 6-10" slabs in the Reservoir. I was killing Pipestem two years ago as well, but it winter killed two years ago.... not much other than pike in there. They are transporting crappies from the Res each year, but it'll take time to rebuild the panfish population.

    gas grill...

I have five grills and they all serve a purpose. Two GMGs for smoking (one at the lake). A charcoal grill because i love to use it and it still produces the best steaks/burgers for me. A propane grill for hot dogs and searing things before or after the GMG. And finally, a blackstone, cuz why the...

    Must have Pontoon accessories

I had a 22' Bennington and I'll be the first to admit that I sucked at loading it, EVEN WITH GUIDES. As soon as I had a side wind I just couldn't figure it out..... I can land my boats like a boss though, somedays ;)

    Strikemaster Lithium VS ION

I second what KW says here about dueling augers. I run a K-drill up to about 18" with a Dewalt brushless (second drill). The first one I burned up was a cheap one for $99 and not meant for the auger. It's super light and when the ice is under 12" I don't have a set of tracks other than my feet...

    si versus di

For me functionality goes a long ways. Garmin is alot easier to navigate through options and menus. They produce a batch of updates all wrapped into one file; no searching online for the specific model you have.... I've also got almost every lake I fish on Navionics with Garmin and everything...

    si versus di

If you're not set on a bird I would say try Garmin, there are some good deals on the 93sv UHD right now and it's both panoptix/livescope compatible.

    Recommendations for Ice Flasher

I've used a Vexilar FL20 & 28 a little bit, both great flashers. Owned a Marcum LX6 and the features are great, but i hated having to push buttons to adjust my gain or contrast or switching between modes. Fished the last three years with a Humminbird Ice 45 and absolutely loved it, then gifted...

    HUB ice shelter recommendations

I picked up a thermal clam for $120 cheaper than anywhere else off L&M Supply's website a couple years back. Been a great shack for me.

Ice fishing newbie. Advice requested. Location = Devils Lake. Opening Pandora's Box!

Don't spend all of your time of Devils Lake. Get to know some locals, keep asking around more and more and find some of the "prairie potholes". There are ALOT of them out there with some dandy perch.... Best advice I can give you is keep it light so you can stay mobile on early ice when...

    Ice fishing...In October?

I like ice fishing during deer season as long as i've shot my deer. Not gonna lie, it would be cool to do it before deer season this year.

    Chili Recipe?

I'm not sure what I like more; our chili recipe or the farts afterward. Better yet, the farts after you eat a few leftover bowls the day or two after you at the first few bowls... #TREMENDOUS
