    Burke County Wind Farm Denied

You are only partially correct. The info I used was old. The older wind turbines were typically stated as producing 1.5 mW per year but typically would only produce .5 mWatts per year. According to this article, the new ones produce more. https://www.wind-watch.org/faq-output.php However...

    Burke County Wind Farm Denied

I don't know the answer but do you really believe that it actually takes more fuel to make a windmill than it makes over it's lifetime? Honestly do you think it's close? I did some calculations based on info I found on the internet. From what I found, .0016 barrels of residential fuel oil...

    Burke County Wind Farm Denied

Let me be the one lone voice on this site to support wind farms. I get that a lot of the power generation goes out of state. I get that right now being being environmentally friendly is a political issue. Republicans/Conservatives own the issue of burning coal because its cheap. Liberals own...

Near Sturgis SD at Bear Butte

I just drove by that Butte on Sunday. Was in Rapid City for a tournament. I also took a nice picture that weekend, south of Rapid City. Not as dramatic as Bear Butte but still pretty nice, especially for a cheap phone.

    Hulu + Live vs. Cable

With midco internet, cable and phone, it cost me $175 per month. Got rid of everything except for internet which costs $50 (i get the slowest speed which is 50 mbs). But I do have Hulu which is $12, Netflix $12, and Prime $10.

    Hulu + Live vs. Cable

I got rid of Midco in Bismarck and have a Roku box. I subscribe to Netflix, Hulu, and Prime. Also have an antenna. I've never looked back. In Bismarck if you get internet from Midco, you can use your Midco account info to get ESPN, TNT, TBS, HGTV, etc through your Roku box for free. That...

    Automatic Clay Pigeon Thrower

I've used a lot of other peoples clay pigeon throwers and all I can say is that I can throw them by hand much better than any mechanical one. The downside is that you need someone with that knows how to throw them. The upside is that you can throw them faster, further and at whatever angle you...

    North Dakota has worst drivers

I call BS on this. If we had the worst drivers in the United States you know damn sure the auto insurance companies would jack rates. In 2018, ND was ranked 44 for lowest auto insurance rates. Only 6 states are lower than ND. Yes everybody has a crapload of stories about how bad everybody...

    Used cell phone

If you are going to buy a phone with internet for homework then you are going to be buying a smartphone with all features. Can't really buy a smart phone for only making calls and surfing the web and nothing else. I would suggest a very good and affordable motorola G5 or G6. Should be able to...

    -2 h.s. hockey coaches??

I swear that I live in an alternate universe hearing some people talk or I'm extremely lucky. So many people like to say how bad kids are today, how kids are wusses, how bad parents are, everything use to be better. Maybe I've lived with my head in the sand but from what I've seen with my four...

Deer Rifle Recommendtions for 12-year-old daughter

in my opinion, whatever you go with don't go with a model just because it's light. Light guns will kick more and I'm guessing you probably will be sitting rather than walking so weight is only an issue when walking to your sitting spot. Have had four kids go hunting since they were youth and...

    Updated SB 2315 Online

Correct. But the benefit to the hunter may be that we will then have landowner phone numbers if we need them and the database will also identify who owns the land.

    Updated SB 2315 Online

Thank you. I read through that I guess. I'm going to have to rethink this. It may not be as bad as I once thought.

    Updated SB 2315 Online

This is what I thought I had heard also: If the landowner does nothing it stays green. However after reading the bill as it is, I don't see anywhere where it says that land is designated as green by default: https://www.legis.nd.gov/assembly/66-2019/documents/19-0896-02000.pdf

    Updated SB 2315 Online

This is exactly what I think will happen. The less land that is open, the more it will get used. The more it gets used, the more likely the farmer will post it until there is virtually no unposted land.

I've never been to a rally. I'll be there if one is set up.

The "NEW" SB 2315 - Pucker Up Buttercup!

Not sure if this has been brought up because I didn't read 13 pages of posts. One of the things that really scares me the most of doing the database is that it will pretty much set the conditions to make all land posted within the next 5 years. It will be easy to find land that isn't posted...

    Why Netflix?

Not sure why you wouldn't want to watch it. Its good and is only one episode long. Just disturbing in the sense that the parents were as dumb as they were. A family in Idaho has new neighbors. Both families get along well and do a lot of activities together. The new neighbors dad is a...
