    My Rubicon is also the 2004 model Hondamatic transmission. Just has lever shift or manual on the handlebars no footpeg shift like the regular 500's. Haven't looked to see if all the new are that way now.

    Agree 100%. Rincon much smoother riding, but the Rubicon is the workhorse of the ATV world. Have pulled around a fairly heavy 8x14 fish house, 17'6" boat with ease and currently run tracks for ice fishing. Not gonna win any speed contest, but will get you there and back

    Been following the clutch issue. Seems they have that and the excessive heat in the cab things taken care of. Still much bigger fan of the shaft drive over belt. Lot of people have never had belt issues I realize. Common sense will go a long ways in the longevity of them. Check their forum...

    Haven't, but have followed the Honda side x side forum closely. Lots of people purchase from them. Kind of interested myself. May need to make the call just out of curiosity. Would like to keep it local, but prices are unreal compared to here.

    Your buddy absolutely does "not" need a license to be on the ice with you. Warden sees him touch anything, prepare to pay...without arguing.
