    I needed a pair for the Mrs. and was on a budget. Went with the vortex diamondbacks 10x42. I am impressed! Way nicer than my older Nikon monarchs I have used for years. I should add that I got the newly designed diamondback, they are 229 compared to the discontinued version for 129.

    Winter dog travel

    I was told I might as well get a minivan when I got a topper but I wouldn't go without one haha. Keeps the dog warmer even though he rides in the back seat most the time. Plus for ice fishing a topper is the cats meow.

    I respectfully disagree that a 6 inch hole is big enough for a 20+ pound pike. The circumference of a 6 inch hole is around 18 inches. Also have to account for the hole shrinking a bit in colder weather. Could it work, maybe. But if I am targeting pike there's no way im using anything smaller...
