    My recommendation is buy a double. I have found that anything larger than a double just gives "her" more room, as she will hog more of it than you.

    I use the cheap Scheels ones. I think I have 22 rods comfortably in the locker on the Nitro, and could prob fit another 10. Using rod socks of course.

    Flicker shads and minnows are a great starter bait. They are a pain in the butt to tune, but if you can tune a flicker then the rest of them are easy. Get like 2 of each color when you buy them and go to town. They do catch fish.

    7' Scheels guide medium heavy with Scheels reels. Alternate handles one for right hand and one for left, flipping reels are a must. Don't get caught up in spending a bunch of money for live bait setups, it's not necessary.

    I have a lot of rods. I do like my 6'3" Croix legend elite, but my favorite out of the arsenal is my 6'10" GLX. It is a medium light fast. If I was going to use it with jigging raps or shiver minnows I would look at an extra fast tip. For vertical jigging I love my IMX. It's an SJR722 model.
