What do you put in your winter survival kit?

I used to have a tote full of goods in each car/truck during the winter months. Everything from blankets, extra hat gloves, candles, matches, granola bars, flash light, yada, yada ya. This was in the days when I lived 35 miles from town. Now that we’re only a handful of miles from town, I...

    Things my dog ate

Anything within a nosed reach on the counter or kitchen island. Last week it was my hamburger, I turned around to grab ketschup out of fridge and came back to any empty piece of bread. 2 days later, an entire stick of butter! He got to wear his good boy collar on friday with some left overs...

    It is official

I'm on the same page; I started watching what I eat, how much, and trying to exercise 4-5 days a week basically one year ago. I cut 30+ lbs and just felt better all around. back down to my college weight. Went from 185lbs to 150+-. Actually wasn't embarrassed to take my shirt off at the lake...

Lets see your snow moving weapons.

Snow Moving Weapon! - - - Updated - - - Or do you mean snow removal weapon? in that case, it consists of an Allis Chalmers D17 with a 784 Lorenz Blower, a 48" blade on the front of the grizzly, and a rack full of shovels. Sure wish I had a cab! wild and free, you have it figured out, sweet...

    E-Collar GPS with Beeper?

Yeh, a delayed response on the training side wouldn't be any good. Hadn't heard that one before but maybe should be something I look into. kind of surprised in todays technological world that one of the companies hasn't integrated all of the these features into a single unit. I spoke with a few...

    E-Collar GPS with Beeper?

Starting to consider a new E-collar. I have been running a Dogtra 2000 T&B for the last 13 years and have been extremely pleased with it. It's been super durable and reliable. I'm on my second set of batteries and don't plan to send it in for a third set, the entire unit has seen it's better...

    Vintage snowmobiles

Certainly admire those that keep and restore those old vintage sleds. There's a lot of history that finally boiled down to the 4 manufactures we have today. I've contemplated it myself several times but every time I think I should restore one, I remember just how terrible they actually rode and...

    Sak water temps?

Water Temp 47*-49* at Indian Hills / Red Butte area. 17* air temp when we launched the boat, brrrrrrr. Shimano Calcutta Bait Caster + heavy PowerPro line casting for big pike = really cold / numb hands, lol!

I have a gravely which is going on it's seventh season of mowing 6 acres weekly and have been very please with it. So far just regular maintence, a couple of deck sprngs, 1 bearing, and two belts. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another when the time comes. There are however a lot of good machines...

    Pheasant Survey Down 61%

Exactly what I was saying last night after witnessing the true lack of birds. I figured they'd be down but it's down right non-existent at least in the two areas that I hunted.

    Pheasant opener 2017

Looks like it's going to be pretty spotty. Opening day myself and friend shot 1 bird between the two of us in 3-4 hours of solid walking. I had one 50+ yard shot at a rooster that blew off the top of a hill, seen two others way out in the distance and only kicked up a hand full of hens. Buddy...

    Boat tarp repair

I had Custom Canvas build a complete tarp a for me a hand full of years ago, he did a great job. Neighbors at the lake were pretty impressed and a friend had one made by him a year later for a ski boat and that one was really nice also. I would imagine he'd do a good job on a repair also.

    Boat stereos

I'm with JohnR on this one, you guys gotta lighten up a bit. Bunch of grumpy old fisherman that think they own the lake, come on guys everyone was a kid at one time! If you think back far enough you might be able to see a small glimmer of you youth. There can be fun had by everyone on the lake...

    Sparkle boat

I give Stratos credit for allowing you to build a boat and add options so you can see the actual price right on there web site, kudos to them! you should maybe give it a try. I went ahead an did just that so I could see a direct comparison between the Ranger at Mortz that you posted and an equal...

    Sparkle boat

This is just plainly misleading; 75% more for a reata than a stratos, I don't think so. Paying cash for one and financing the other for 10-30 years, your not looking at apples to apples and no where did I see anything on resale. I'm not a ranger guy at all, don't and haven't owned one (I like my...

    Trolling motor problems

Take a plyers and tighten the wing nuts on the battery. Trust me and don't ask how I know! Hand tightened until it hurt, not good enough. If that's not it and it's a 24 cold, check the jumper in the main plug. That's another don't ask how I know, lol.

How fast does your boat go?

SDMF, you got it. Unless people have seen it, I usually just tell the I run a 186 Yarcraft. I've learned if I say I run a Bass Cat Calico, 95% of people are like WTF is that and then I have to go into explaining the bass cat / Yarcraft situation. You should've seen me going back and forth with...

How fast does your boat go?

SDMF, mine is literally a Bass Cat. Basically one of 3 or so Yarcraft 186fsx boats that were painted with the bas cat strip, rebadged with bass cat logo's, got the bass cat embrodery in the seats and a serial number that starts with BASxxxxxx. It however still has a nice little YC logo in the...

How fast does your boat go?

Nope, came factory prep'd with it. I've never dropped it real low but even a shift of 1.5" makes 1-2 mph difference. Im sure the set back helps also.A couple other things to keep in mind, the standard 200 opti and the 200 pro xs are basically the same engine with different stickers, they push...

How fast does your boat go?

I don't have the fastest rig by any means but I'll play, why not. 2013 YarCraft 186FSX, 9.9 Kicker, 200 Merc Opti, 21P DAH worked Tempest Plus, Slidemaster Jackplate - 2 guys, compartments all full, 7/8 full tank of fuel and full live well coming in to weigh during small tourney last year posted...
