    I have several lever actions, but my favorite is a Winchester Model 94 Classic in 7-30 Waters. Good round out to 150-200 yards. Shot lots of deer with that gun. Shells are getting hard to find, though.

    I've wiped them down with mayonnaise just before applying my spices. The mayonnaise makes the skin crispy, and leaves no taste.

    Pickled Sausage

    Small town bar I frequented in my youth had pickled polish sausage. I'd have the bartender put one on a hot dog bun and nuke it for 20 seconds and then drizzle nacho cheese on it. Makes my mouth water still.

    My question about electric vehicles has always been what effect on range does running the A/C or heat have on them. No one seems to have the answer. In ND you're always using one or the other.

    Pork butt injection

    A guy on some BBQ show I watched years back recommended injecting with Classic Coke. Claimed the acid would help tenderize the meat and the sugar would help sweeten it. I've done it several times but can't honestly say I noticed a difference.

    I have a bunk trailer and have never had an issue loading the toon. Easy peasy. I would second a drift sock, however, I hate back trolling. I hook mine to the center eyelet on the front and let it run between the tubes. Trolling forward the sock slows it down enough I can run jigs.

    For what it's worth I have run an ION for the last three years, and have no complaints. I see Runnings has them on sale for $399 for the base model.
