From the local prosecutor: “My staff will be meeting with officers from the Ohio Dept. of Natural Resources today regarding the matter. I take all crime seriously, including attempted felony theft at a fishing tournament,” O’Malley told TMZ Sports. “These individuals will be held accountable.”

I believe Ohio has a law on the books regarding this type of crime, specifically tournaments.

The Progression of a Walleye Fisherman

Since I have spent most of my time on big water, (Lake Erie) my learning curve is different then most here. Started with weight forward spinners, think Erie Dearies. This was in the 80's when the lake was very muddy. After zebra and then quagga mussels arrived the water cleared considerably...

    LEWT Tournament Winners BUSTED!

Just got off the phone with a friend from Cleveland. These guys suddenly started winning tourneys last fall, always took fish with them after weigh in. Was prior grumbling about weights. Solution, all tourneys fillet and donate fish to food banks. I think they should invest some of their...

    Sak Channel Cats

Was trolling for walleye off Mallard yesterday. I thought I had snagged a log again but was in 60 foot of water (rig was around 48 feet down) Thumped a couple times so I realized it was not a log. Get it to the surface and it was a very large channel cat. Anyone else run into this while trolling...

    Left eye dominant shooting

I second Srputz's comment, hot casings hitting the face is a no go. I was forced to shoot right handed in boot camp, could not find where the shot went. Finally got to shoot left handed and the difference was amazing. Let him try both ways and let him choose what works best.

    College debt~

Schmaltz, I could not agree more. I have always been an advocate that before going to college for a degree, young people should work in the field they want to pursue a degree in. I had a hard time with "Briefcase Experts". Nice suits, slick presentations, and not a clue what they were talking...

    Dipsy Divers for Walleyes

Snubbers save tackle with hard hitting fish like trout and salmon. Set drag so you hear a click every couple minutes. Lost a bunch of lures first day before I figured that one out.

    Snap weight clips?

Recently lost two off shore clips in one day, one shook of right at the boat. Had another one at the fish's mouth, slid 50' but did not come off. Have not tried Scheels brand but will give them a try.

John R, volcanic eruptions while brief may over a very short term exceed amounts emitted by man they do not exceed man's annual inputs of CO2. From the U.S.G.S.: https://www.climate.gov/news-features/climate-qa/which-emits-more-carbon-dioxide-volcanoes-or-human-activities

SL1000794, Wind turbines were initially down due to de-icers not being installed after previous freeze up. In the following days they produced electricity while other generating facilities were still having frost damage repaired.

    Corner jumping court case.

It would be interesting if someone rented a chopper to fly in and hunt these areas. Air rights have limitations. No case could be filed.

I am curious how many of these adjacent landowner's treat these areas as their private hunting reserves? How many run guide services on these lands? Pay for Play?

50 Years of Failed Eco-pocalyptic Predictions

sl1000794, Ice is less dense than liquid water, this is why it floats. Sea level rise in countries like Bangladesh come to mind as well as some island communities on the east coast of the U.S. You are correct, tides can vary by season. Some areas see extreme tides like the Bay of Fundy...

50 Years of Failed Eco-pocalyptic Predictions

As I read this the global cooling was incorrect. Types of certain pollutants have decreased, for example : acid rain, ozone hole come to mind these due to regulatory actions. Sea levels have risen causing impacts to some countries. Arctic sea ice has decreased not necessarily extents, but...
