    Second Auger Battery

I use an ion. I usually carry two batteries with but never need to use the second one unless i forget to charge it which rarely happens. I'm sure when they get old and crap out it'll go quick.

    North Dakota mysteries

Are you talking about the town of Leith and that crazy craig cobb? Wanted to buy up the whole town and turn it into a white supremacist mecca. No idea what ever happened to that idiot. Anyone remember hearing about Father X in Karlsruhe, ND?

    Snow forcasted

Snodgrass talks about chances of snow. Two storms coming, first chance for us will be next week wednesday into Thursday. 2nd one coming is the end of October. Neither is certain, doesn't look like we'll get much but you never know. Some of the early models were kind of ugly but they keep changing.

    Harvest is STILL here guys...

If they are out of space to pile them, I've got a few deer blinds they can dump a load of beets at each one.

    Crude oil prices!

No kidding that'll be tough on the new crop of hunters. I feel fortunate to have really started hunting in the the late 90s and early 2000s. Gas and ammo were cheap back then.

    Rain

Most small grains are off here, some canola left, waiting to do soybeans. We were hoping to get silage corn chopped this week, fields should be ok, but getting the trucks to the pile might be a problem. Manure to be hauled will have to wait for the pens to dry up. Still some hay to haul. Glad it...

    ATV Tires

I also like the ITP mud lites. Ran them on two atvs, very aggressive, will tear the hell out of a lawn if you turn on it.

    Caterpillars

That is definately a spurge hawk moth caterpillar. They were released in the 60s as a form of biological leafy spurge control. They eat the leaves off of leafy spurge but don't do anything to actually kill or control the plant. Still cool to see them eating spurge. They were thick in 21 and...

    Highway 23 n 83

I don't know if we need govt intervention about cell phones, but I will say it is down right scary how many people you notice texting or scolling through their phones while driving. Especially freaky when you meet someone going the opposite direction on a two lane and their messing on their...

    Early goose help

Maybe just go ask for permission on the field that got posted. The worst that'll happen is they'll say no.

    Early goose season

I remember doing that also about the same time frame. Also used a sheet of burlap that had a straw pattern on it for canada's. Still think that was one of the best blinds. Extra shells and drinks went under a shell decoy beside me and covered up with the burlap.

    Toads!

Alot of werid things this year. Seeing crickets in June, normally not till August, mourning doves are bunched up on the roads like its the end of August, all this makes me wonder if winter is coming early this year.

    Hail destroys solar farm.

the solar panels we use to run wells to water cows are surprisingly tough. They've survived some pretty damaging hail storms but I'd imagine baseball size hail would destroy them. Only ever had one get damaged and it just cracked the outer shell, still produced power and still pumped water.
