    advisory meetings

I have some bait piles on some private land that I have access to. I haven't hunted over any of them. I like to set them out more to see what deer are in those areas. Its probably been 10 plus years since I shot anything over bait. My 10 year old son sat over bait one night this year and said...

It's a fee used to help stop ans from fisherman. MT charges like 15$ for NR and 3$ for residents. All out of state boats need to be inspected before being put into any water body.

    advisory meetings

ANS was brought up at our meeting that there were no new infected lakes. I asked them why we don't have a ans fee like MT does. Never could get a strait answer. Also brought up mandatory boat inspection for out of state boats and that wasn't taken very well. Something about it cost to much and...

    Winter Heating....with corn!

Im using the big tote bags that hold about 50 bushels. Just put the in the back of the pickup and put them in the garage with a forklift. Cost all depends on market. I bought some cleaned and bagged corn earlier this year and that was 5.25 a bushel from the elevator. The 1 bushel bags from the...

    Winter Heating....with corn!

They will burn wood pellets also. The model kdm has will heat his house both up and down. It would probably go up to about a bushel and a half per day to keep the house at 70 all the time even on the colder days. I run a older corn stove in my garage and keep it on the lowest heat setting and my...

Upland Bird Hunters and Cable Device Users (eg snares)

I don’t think very many dogs are killed by them if the owners are present. Most hunting dogs are leash trained and won’t keep pulling once they feel pressure on there neck. Fence lines are a very popular spot.

    Badlands mule deer

I hunted 4b last week for 3 days before I killed my buck. I seen one really big one that got into the park before I could shoot. Other than that I only seen 3 mature bucks. I shot a old buck that probably won’t even score 145. And seen one more good one driving back to interstate after I got...

I have a helix 7 and love it. I run it in sonar mode not a fan of the flasher on it. If you turn down the screen brightness the battery will last all day. - - - Updated - - - With mine I just bought the ice ducer and mounted it on a gene box. I think I have about 200 into converting mine with...

    Deer decoy safety?

Put a piece of orange fabric in place of the tail. It will give the decoy a little motion in the wind also.

Biggest thing I have found is get it off the ground. Put it on a fence post or tree and it will carry a lot better.
