    As i read more i do not really have a M14 but a rifle that looks and acts like a M14. Make sure to use a bullet mark 7.62x51 maybe NATO and not 308. So, i will go with that. All bullets will kill it just what one believes in. thanks for the help. db

    No to hunting and if i were to hunt big game i have an old Mark 5 Weatherby 300. Made in 59. Not sure if a 20-round clip is legal or ethic. I would think the Weatherby would outshoot the 14. But my love for guns is the gun before the hunt. I feel in time, this rifle will see a lot of bullets...
