    I don’t buy this either. Any noise from the gas auger is only heard above the ice. Below the ice I believe the sound is similar. Pretty sure I saw an underwater video of this once upon a time.

    There is a road on both the north and south side of the entire canal system so if the road is not blocked by snow, you should be able to use the north road to drive closer to that island. I have not ice fished it in years. I would definitely avoid the necked down area just west of the boat ramp...

    I live in south Bismarck and have had certain parts of my driveway and front sidewalk jacked several times. They do a very nice job and it looks great when done....the 3 inch circles they drill into the cement do not bother me. I have jacked mine 4 times in 20 years and expect to do it again...

    I installed it 20 years ago so I can’t remember ;) Looks like it weighs 59 lbs. I would say that either I followed the instructions OR I might have used a temporary brace or clamp to hold it.
