    Here is a 275gr barnes fired out of my muzzy at about 2300fps into a muddy berm. Nice expansion. I havent hunted elk, but I typically go with the lightest barnes available in the caliber Im shooting. 160s from my 338, 110s in my 308 etc for deer.

    Shot a decent buck a couple years ago with 110TTSX out of my 308 winny, nice double lung shot and he did a little dance and fell over. MV is around 3300fps aslo, pretty flat till they start to slow down!

    dropped keys down the hole once when I was out with my snowmobile and gear on a sled, miles away from my truck, alone. Took a few hours to snag them with a daredevil off the bottom of the lake... Also cell phones sink fast...
