    Chad Issak trial

I am not sure if that is up there with the most un-American thing I've read around here, or if it's the most American thing to say. Remember, a fair trial by your fellow citizens is one of the key pillars to our criminal justice system. We bear the responsibility of doing our share when called...

    Beer shortage

My coworker made some beet wine. It may have been the prettiest color of red I've ever seen in my life, but it still tasted like beets. For what it's worth, I HATE beets.

    Lund 2002 Fisherman windshield.

Twinsfan, you're too new to receive direct messages. Pound out 3-5 more hello's on here and we can talk about what it would take to get you taken care of through PMs. FYI, the full windshield is about $2500, but that's not necessarily what's needed here. - - - Updated - - - note, you need a...

    Chad Issak trial

Right? I think 16 is the number of identical pairs of shoes. WTF? I still can't get over saving all the gear. That's some level of stupid, arrogance, or ????

Does this type of training collar exist?

Dirty, sounds like he's running the same collar as I use with my dog. I've never tested the 9 miles part (they admit that would be basically out on the Salt Flats of Utah). But I know it's good for over a mile in heavy cover.

Does this type of training collar exist?

I think what we are discovering, once again, is that the gear we take to the field is often not designed by people with like interests. Truth is, I'd buy the collar Dirty describes as well. It pisses me off if I have to carry the damn remote in my hand and I'm more worried about where the dog...

    NDSU to the FBS???

While true, I'm not sure what that has to do with the price of tea in China.

Does this type of training collar exist?

I don't think I've run across one that will do that. The Garmin Alpha series will let you see on the handheld how far and the direction to your dog on a map, but as far as alarming you when it goes past a certain distance while hunting, I don't know of a collar that does that. With the Alpha...

    NDSU to the FBS???

They might need even less of a stadium if they go FBS and don't do well. Not going to watch NDSU thrash someone in quarter final games out of boringness is one thing, not going because you expect them to lose should be at least as big of a concern. How many bandwagon fans would slip out of...

    Chad Issak trial

I casually have been watching the trial. After the past couple of days, I'd say Isaak looks like a defeated man with the way he carried himself at the end of today's proceedings. It's like he knows he's been caught red handed, much unlike the smile/smirk he had in his arrest photos. Finding...

    Chad Issak trial

I could be wrong, but doesn't the "I'm not mentally capable of understanding" defense need to be brought up ahead of the trial? That's a whole different defense than the current, "Not Me" one they are using. Someone, anyone?

    Beer shortage

Yep, I heard recently that farmers who have contracted out barley are being required/asked to harvest their crops even if they are pretty minimal, like 10 bushels to the acre. Simply because there is going to be a pretty major malting barley shortage.

    Chad Issak trial

I think it's safe to say the man is frugal at best, and a complete cheapskate at worst. Reason I say that is because he would rather use a $3 gallon of bleach to clean what is supposed to be the murder weapons and clothing, rather than simply getting rid of them altogether. Let's face it, he...

    Chad Issak trial

Nah, some people are just legit nuts. All without having an actual mental health issue. I casually knew a guy in the Corps who joined up because he was interested in what it felt like to kill someone and thought it best to join a branch of the military so he didn't go to jail afterwards, how he...

    Fishing over state lines

No, but somewhere in-between the two extremes would have been a better place to come to rest than the current rules.

    Fishing over state lines

sweeney is correct. So if you are fishing the border region and a ND game warden sees you over in SD, you best only have four fish. You can fish both sides of the border on the same day, but to avoid a ticket, you would have to clean and store the fish from the first state you fished at home...
