    Exactly! Give or take, you can reasonably liken 100 hrs on an outboard to 10K Mi on a passenger vehicle. The relatively low # of hrs we get on outboards in this part of the world is also a giant testament to just how good electric trolling motors have gotten.

    Nano would be a pain to thread beads and a clevis onto. Just spitballing here, but, I'd think a clevis might fray Nano fairly quickly as well. Flourocarbon that's 2-4# UNDER the test strength of your main line is my preference.

    I see cranes in MN all summer in any open ag/hay fields from DL over to the E side of Mille Lacs any anywhere N of there. The rusty colored yearlings are easy to mistake for a "red summer coat" deer when they're bent over feeding and the sun catches them just right.

    In AK we split the spotter/tripod/camera (DSLR camera w/telephoto lens is over 5#). 3 person hunting party, each person carried one item. I haven't carried that DSLR camera in my pack since.
