    Does the bolt stop in a 22-250 X-bolt allow you to cycle the bolt back to cycle 2.8" cases? As long as it does then you're golden with the 243/308 mags. If it doesn't, it's probably not too hard to swap out.

    Why not just a whole bunch of roaming St. Bernards carrying brandy under their chin? Then the deer don't get predictable by coming back to the same Schnapps tree every day. Plus the dogs can sniff out the weak ones that can't make it to the liquor tree and make sure they get their share.

    Me too. FWIW, when Hornady switched their packaging to advertise their AMP jackets they also changed the twist suggestion from 1:9 to 1:8. For sure you'd be able to shoot the 75gn BTHP from Hornady. I can shoot those from my 1:9 16" AR.
