    With this weather and some wind it might open back up at Yates. It never did go any further south. Not sure about the Grand river. I'll bet those fish are still stacked in under that Grand river bridge. There's current under there so even if its froze, watch out.

    A few years ago, (the year Mobridge ice tournament was canceled/not fished) my brother kept putting his little 12' boat in off shore and breaking the ice on a point and was nailing them in Mobridge. First time ever fishing out of a boat in December.

    You couldn't just get it to shore, and wait for snow to melt? Once my brother did that to a shack, left it on too long and the shorelines opened up, It was all wood, except for a the screws that held it together.

    I use the High Mountain brand, and it turns out great. The best jerky is whole muscle meat like everyone has said. I fillet all the sinew off the pieces when I butcher. I sprinkle the seasoning on then place in a container and sprinkle the other side as I stack them in the container. Cure...
