    For vert. jigging I like ~6' light action. For pitching jigs/plastics I like ~7' light action. I like both of them to have a little "give" in the tip to allow the fish to load up the rod a bit without feeling it.

    I didn't see anything about replacing fuel filter, did you? Is there one? Ethanol can be really hard on older fuel lines. Could be vacuum leaking somewhere too. Could be sucking air through a bad/weathered gas line.

    Only issue I've ever had w/plastic quick change clevis is if you leave them in the sun a bunch they can get brittle and break when you're trying to add/switch blades.
