    Sorry about being down

I thought it was the Pro-SB 2315ers and the Internet Research Agency in cahoots!

Sb 2315 - reborn after house gutting!

As anticipated, the Pro-SB 2315 committee reinstated most of the things which the House GUTTED - after pressure from the people - when it split the bill. You can find the final, amended version of SB 2315 at this link The final version of SB 2315: - Makes everything posted for fishing...

    Lund warranty

This one you posted is of the boating accident that killed up-and-coming MLB pitcher Jose Fernandez in 2016. Recognized it right away for some odd reason.

    HB 1021 - "The Database" End-Around

The redrafted SB 2315 is in committee today at 9am and 3pm. I'll post the final bill when I get it tonight.

    HB 1021 - "The Database" End-Around

Each chamber got to select three. You'll see that most either have ties to their chamber's ag committee, or were a sponsor or carrier of the bill, so they have "familiarity" with it, so I'm guessing that factors in. I just wish there were more dissenters and differing viewpoints in the mix to...

    HB 1021 - "The Database" End-Around

The conference committee on SB 2315 was released today...if the names look familiar, it's because most of them are proponents of SB 2315 and some obvious blatant anti-hunters (including the coiner of new phraseology for my "illegitimate" friends out there - I sure hope the Wahpeton crowd is...

    HB 1021 - "The Database" End-Around

JD - Correct on all fronts, except your self-diagnosis :). This is all confusing and fast-paced, so we're all trying to keep up and make sense of it, so don't feel bad. I try to link to the bills directly, to keep it as accurate as possible, but with SB 2315, we've had to rely on sources...

    HB 1021 - "The Database" End-Around

For everyone's knowledge, you'll note that the infamous database for hunter access has been sneakily tacked on to HB 1021 (an unrelated appropriations bill) as a study over the interim. https://www.legis.nd.gov/assembly/66-2019/documents/19-0209-04000.pdf (Pg 3, Line 9) Since we haven't...

Sb 2315 - final house vote delayed!!

Correct - it moved so quick to a do not concur, I could barely keep up with real life stuff going on. So we should have a final bill in the next couple of days. Look for some of the "old language" and "bad stuff" to be put back in.

Sb 2315 - final house vote delayed!!

THIS IS NOT OVER. Expect the worst, hope for the best, but plan on SB 2315 to go to committee next week and be re-written to include all the same old stuff from the previous incarnations. You will be called on again to stand up and contact your legislators at least two more times before this...

Sb 2315 - final house vote delayed!!

SB 2315 - WHAT HAPPENS NEXT... As the above posts make clear (particularly Ugly Dogs' excellent shorthand assessment - props), a lot of the "bad stuff" in SB 2315 was struck when the bill was divided into Division A and Division B today. With Division B failing and A passing, it became obvious...

Sb 2315 - final house vote delayed!!

MORE DELAY! It seemed like the notable proponents of SB 2315 drug the discussion out on the other bills leading up to it. They did not get to SB 2315 - It will be the third bill of the afternoon session at 1pm. Still time to email your representatives with your final thoughts, facts, numbers...

    SB 2315 - In Cmte 3/14 - ACTION REQUIRED!

Report now is that Rep. Tveit will be sneaking the bill onto the house floor in the opening moments of tomorrow's (4/11) session at 8 am, in hopes of catching some representatives arriving late and being away from the voting button - again, a highly unusual move for any other legislation - but...

Sb 2315 - final house vote delayed!!

VOTE DELAYED! - Reports from the House of Representatives indicate that the sponsors and lobbyists pushing SB 2315 have done a vote count and THEY DO NOT HAVE THE VOTES. They are dragging this out to the very end to continue to work over those who represent us in attempt to garner more support...

    Where to bass fish.

There used to be some diversion ponds west of GF that had bass in them, but that was in the early 2000s. The Red Lake River has smallies too, if you have an MN license. If you're looking for an awesome place and don't mind a 2 hour drive, drop your kayak in at Chautauqua Park in Valley City...

    SB 2315 - In Cmte 3/14 - ACTION REQUIRED!

I received the linked version from multiple sources, multiple times over the weekend, including the NDWF director, a representative and a forwarded email from the House Ag Committee Clerk. That is what came out of committee on Friday. You'll note once again that the final version is being...

    SB 2315 - In Cmte 3/14 - ACTION REQUIRED!

They voted to remain neutral. As a long-time PF guy and a former chapter president, I was pretty bummed - but they too are heavily involved in private land initiatives, and these are their inroads, so it's understandable - plus they don't have the presence or sway like in MN at the state level...
