    suffix 832 lead (18lb) is the best choice. yes to mono backing. Don't worry about calibrating with lead. 15' of whatever you want out front.

    haha. I spent 30 minutes in the garage the other night, only tying FG knots. I think I figured it out. However, I can zip together an albright knot in a few seconds. Its been a good knot as well.

    With that said, my condolences go out to the family members and coworkers that are dealing with this tragedy. Unfortunately, his profession was brought into the whole mix and it has nothing to do with why he would commit these heinous acts.

    Dean, you'd be better off stopping while you're behind. Stick to goose reports, water levels or your half ass meteorology takes. The profession itself was never founded on a religion. I'm zero credits short on any of my degrees and I moved out of my parents house.

    I recently figured out how to tie the FG knot. Previous attempts were failures as I could bust the knot with a simple pull on both lines. It’s a much longer process than the modified Albright knot. I see myself still using that one if I’m actively fishing and lose a whole section of leader...
