Here I read bouncing rod and forgot what I was going to say. The scheels telescoping 8'6" rods work well. The eyes suck as well as their reels. But for the money, they work. Cabelas makes a nice rod. The st croix are damn good rods.
I got a smoking deal on a couple of 13 fishing defy's in 8 ft length. I've pulled cranks and bounced with them. I also have a pair of jason mitchell bouncing rods in 7'6" length. Good rods as well but longevity is usually the issue with those.

bigbrad, its not that big of a job. Call your local dealer and order the impeller kit. Watch a few you tube videos before you start, take pictures after each step just in case, assemble the new gear and off you go. If I can do it, you can do it.
