    Blackstone

If I was to do it over I would buy a portable Camp Chef system. Probably the Pro 90x set up. It would be very handy for hunts, and far more versatile.. At the very least I wished I would've bought the Camp Chef dedicated griddle over Blackstone. They seem to be built a bit better IMO.

    Trimming out venison for sausage

Same here. I was very particular, now I'm just particular. Doing one deer is nothing. But when you're staring at a pile of elk meat and/or multiple animals, at least my standards tend to decrease a bit. And I have never noticed any decline in the finished product. Steaks and roasts still get the...

    Steak Time!

I have a set of these but I have yet to try them out. Need to get to a Costco and buy a Prime strip or rib loin. Be prepared to lose about 45% of your product through the aging process and trimming. Ends up being some pretty spendy meat/lb after that. https://umaidry.com/

    Steak Time!

It took me a while to change my ways, but last winter I cooked more with cast iron then I have my entire life. I am a big fan of it, other then filling the house with smoke. I feel in no way it's inferior to cooking a steak on a grill. I do not finish my steaks in the oven however. I keep...

    South Dakota giant poached

You got cattle? I'm about out of ribeyes and need to restock. I don't give a shit about burger, so I will just cut out the rib loin and leave the rest for your coyotes to clean up. (sarcasm - clearly you don't have cattle, and I love cheeseburgers) The guy is a POS thieving poacher and should...

    Paid off

My wife made the mistake of buying me a Dave Ramsey book a few years ago. When I attempted to implement a fairly aggressive budget to get out of debt (I'm not known for my patience) things got a little hairy for a while. I have since backed off the dream of paying cash for what I want, when I...

    Big horn tag!!

Looks like the broad head did well!! I was debating sticking one of those or the 1.5s in thenquiver for windy days. Never heard of them until about 5 days ago.

    Eliminating Bugs In/Around the House

Sorry I wasn't as clear as I should have been. I paid $80 for two 96oz jugs. Which works out cheaper per ounce then the gallon jug in your link.

    Eliminating Bugs In/Around the House

Give Talstar P (Pro) a try. I used some this year and feel it has better residual then Tempo. You can buy it off Amazon, although the price has gone up quite a bit since a couple months ago. I got 2 jugs for $80, now they are $125ish. Or if you go to a TSC, Home of Economy, etc any other generic...

    Tatonka Dust seasoning is available!

Not much of a recipe really. Just seasoned them with what you see there, then on the smoker for about 3 hours at 250-275. Then wrapped in foil (meat side down) with a few splashes of apple juice, butter and Worcestershire sauce. Let them go for another 1.5 hours or so, or until they are at the...

    Tatonka Dust seasoning is available!

Funny you ask. I did a rack last weekend with some. I occasionally like a break from the sweet ribs. They turned out well.

    Montana mule deer

I have tried a few different rifle carry options and the Gun Bearer is what i use. At first i didnt like it in my arm pit with the barrel in front, but i got used to it and enjoy the convenience of that set up now.

    Frog Invasion

Well, sounds like 2,4-D may be the solution I am seeking! I have sprayed for bugs, and can not remove the areas they are digging into without ripping down my house, driveway and landscape.. It's just weird they ended up where they did to begin with. Nothing to attract them that I can think of.

    Frog Invasion

I don't think some of you fully understand the situation. We are not talking about an odd toad jumping around here and there. I left them alone at first too...Now I can't leave my garage doors open very long or I will have 50 of them in there. They dug a crack out into some concrete that looks...

    Frog Invasion

Ok, they are toads. And I have sprayed part of my yard for bugs prior to their arrival. What i need is a chem labeled for toads.
