    2022 deer tags

2 for 4 here. Two of my boys drew bucks. One has never gotten a buck, so rooting for him.

If that was for me, I appreciate it. Haven't heard the word twat in a while.

    Best wireless meat thermometer

Does the wifi one seem to have the same accuracy? I do like to have a graph of the ambient temp, so I can see how much it flucuates - but, I could do without to maintain accuracy.

    Best wireless meat thermometer

That's what sent me on the hunt to begin with. Carried one around the store for a while, but ended up putting it back. Almost ready to buy the inkbird with 4 probes and dedicated receiver, but then started looking at the wifi model.

    Decrease speed limit

JK is spot-on with this assessment. Anyone who has ever played darts, pool, etc. at the bar has probably experienced it. That brief period when you can make any shot in pool or pound the triple 20s in darts, but give it a couple rounds and you're tearing the velvet on the table or can't hit...

    Decrease speed limit

Back in the 80s, it was easier to stay close to the speed limit. I usually drove a shitty enough car that it would feel like you were going to blow apart if you got much over 60.

    Best wireless meat thermometer

Thanks, guys. That might be my huckleberry. If it's accurate and has some range, I can do without the graphs. Seems pretty reasonable at $60 for 4 probes.

    Best wireless meat thermometer

I think I might give an Inkbird a try...might end up in my pile of disappointing probes, but it's less expensive than some in the pile. I kind of like an app with a graph on my phone...lets me extrapolate when meat might be cooked. I tend to trust the flip out digital ones the most, since they...

Is it immoral to drive an electric vehicle?

I think even wind towers probably leave a bigger net "carbon footprint" over their lifetime than they eliminate. Think of the amount of steel mined, smelted, etc to create one. How many diesel powered trucks does it take to simply get the parts there to assemble one. Not to mention all the...

    Best wireless meat thermometer

The SmokeIT app that comes with some PitBoss grills/smokers is awesome, in theory. I can run to the store or wherever and still see what is going on, even bump the temp up or down. Problem is the probes suck, and the temp I'm seeing may be 20° different than actual.

I saw those on Amazon. Looked interesting. Will have to dig deeper.

    Best wireless meat thermometer

Anyone have a favorite meat thermometer? Wifi, preferably, as Bluetooth tends to disconnect when I'm tending to other things. Anyone tried Yummly, Meater+, Meatstick, etc.? I like the idea of one wireless probe to measure both meat temperature and ambient temperature. They all seem to be...

    Any Birders here?

Seems like buffleheads passed through pretty late this year. Saw a pair as recently as last Thursday. Not songbirds, obviously, but seemed odd to me.
