    First Ice - Predictions

Someone posted a pic on FB this morning from Audubon...looked like the Velva Point area...1 to 3 inches of ice according to this brave (foolish) soul.

    Daylight saving time

I'm a "morning person"...having more daylight in the evening does not benefit me in any way...in June/July/August I'd rather have light at 0500 to get the boat on the water before the flies come out!

    First Ice - Predictions

After reading KDM's post above...safety first should be our mantra with all our outdoor activities. Seems like first ice in the fall and first boat outings in the spring are the most high risk.

    First Ice - Predictions

The last 2 years we've fished Audubon the second weekend in November. Matter of fact think last year had 6 inches of ice that first time out.

2019 Boat Fishing Season Over or Not?

I hate the thought of putting the boat away for the season and having to go thru all the ice gear...but looking at temps for the next 10 days...reality!

2019 Boat Fishing Season Over or Not?

Coldest nastiest weather anyone has ever boat fished in? Oddly enough mine came late August 2 years ago. Got out on the lake in the morning...cool windy and rainy but I was determined to stick it out. I was not dressed properly for 40 degrees wind and rain. Starting catching fish...didn't want...

    Drain Sakakawea

Was down in Omaha last weekend...water levels high everywhere in between. Not sure how much more they could have pushed thru the system the last 5 months. Those folks south of us dealing with it too...

Ripped off by vallely sport and marine

^ Exactly... - - - Updated - - - I was looking at Vallely in February once I decided I was going with the Lund Impact. They gave me their "best" price on the Impact I wanted with the motor, electronics, and trolling motor I wanted. I then went to Blakes in Devil's Lake to compare. Blakes quote...
