    New boat suggestions

Short...you still have your Alumacraft Trophy? After riding in a buddy's Impact last summer, decided I didn't want the large gunnels like the Trophy and the Targa have. Seems like you get more functional space the way the Impact is set up? I dunno, just really liked the way the Impact was set...

    New boat suggestions

^This...I'll be upgrading this year as well. Planning to go with a Lund 1875 Impact...sticking with tin. Started researching them end of last summer. Noticed that with Lund at least, the 2019s started hitting the dealers in July/August. At that point the 2018s started dropping in price. Planning...

    Ice Auger

Like mine as well so far Rusty...although yesterday on Audubon I fouled the blades on the 3rd hole...had to put some weight on her to get thru the remaining holes. When I got home and pulled the blades off, it was just the outside edge that was nicked...gotta be careful where you drill!

    Most current ice reports

Fished Audubon Nelson Bay this morning...12 to 13 inches solid everywhere I drilled.

    Assistance needed

3geese...I take it nothing open in the civil service realm on Minot AFB that you are interested in? I work in the contracting/acquisition office on the base...seems like there is always an FM position open. They are currently hiring a GS-12 to run the Budget Office-should open a position below...

    Ice Auger

Sold my Eskimo gas and bought the Strikemaster Lithium 40v 8 inch few weeks back. Used it 4 times...so far so good. But I don't usually drill more than 20 holes in a day. Curious to see how it holds up when we've got 30 plus inches of ice, but man it cuts fast and is super easy to use. Will run...

    How do you ice fish?

Flip over Shappell with all gear in tow. Days with light wind/air temp above 10 don't set up the house. If windy or long day will set up the flip over with a hole or two in the house so I can warm up with the Buddy heater. Unless I'm with my wheeler owning buddy, I don't move much. Walk/drag out...

    Boat price negotiation

3geese...I am upgrading next year as well...decided to get the Lund Impact 1875...really like the way they are set up - anyway when I really started researching them this summer noticed most of the Lund dealers in ND and MN got the 2019s on their lots in late July...then the 2018s started...

    Ice Auger Poll

Shootn...I picked up the new Strikemaster Lithium 40V...8 inch. Only used twice but so far so good. I don't typically cut more than 15-20 holes in a day, but I'm curious to see how it holds up when cutting 30+ inches later this winter. Good luck with your auger search!

    Ice Auger Poll

Monday was the "maiden" trip for the Strikemaster Lithium 40v...smooth as butter...but of course only 5 inches of ice. Real test comes in about 6 weeks when it's gotta cut through 30 plus inches.
