    Using Atv in ND winters

I have small battery chargers on my 4x4, 6x6 and my International tractor for blowing snow. They really do a good job of keep the battery at 100 percent. I put a 750 CCA battery in my 6x6. As with the small battery if I am using my winch a lot while plowing snow it drains it faster than it can...

    Using Atv in ND winters

I put new batteries in mine every other year. I don't take the chance of a battery going bad. And I run 0 - 20 full synthetic oil. I put hand warmers and windshield. A windshield helps a lot on your hands and face.

    Trap gun

When you raise your average by 5.5 clays that is really good. My guess by the end of this next season he will raise his average another 1.5 clays. Your giving your Son every chance to excel in the sport and thats great. Way to go Dad

    Favorite deer rifle

Pictures or it didn't happen. I have shot lots of big guns over the hood of a pickup and never once even cracked a windshield let alone blow it out. Some even had brakes. Just to name a few 7MM Rem mag, 300 Win mag, 300 Warbird and it had a brake.

    Trap gun

Why is it all of good trap or sporting clay shooters are shooting trap guns and not hunting shotguns? They shot them for a reason, to break more birds. Them shooters are so good they should be able to grab a Remington 870 express and break 25 clays in a row. You put a good trap gun in the hands...

    Browning A500

I would get a new buffer before I shot it. That could be the reason the stock is loosening up. Is the buffer is not there to do its job so the retainer plate is taking some of the recoil.

It looks like the retainer plate is being pulled back. Can you tell if its staked in place or Silver soldered? If it was mine I would sand or file the lip down to match the rest of the receiver and reseat the stock in it.

I would take the stock off and see if it actually is glassed into place. If it is I would buy me some Acraglas ( Im a fan of Acraglas ) and just do what the directions say. Its not hard to do. I would sand or take a dermal tool to remove some or all of the old glas.

    Browning A500

Yes it a buffer to keep the bolt from hitting the back of the receiver. - - - Updated - - - It could be your stock was Acraglased in place from a previse owner and the Acraglas is breaking away and causing voids in the stock and receiver is why the stock is loosing up. And falling into trigger...

I think the plastic pieces are part of the buffer on the top of receiver. Look and see if the buffer is breaking away. Inside and in back of the receiver.

    Stock.refinish?

Put it in a long cardboard box with a light bulb to put heat in the box to speed up the drying process. Leave the butt plate on when sanding so not to have a lip if you take to much off. And be careful where the wood meets up with the receiver and not round off the corners.

    Stock.refinish?

Once you get the stock sanded to your liking. Get the stock wet, its call whiskering the wood. After it dry's take 4 0000 steel wool and rub it smooth. repeat that process 4 or 5 times. Then I would use tru oil. I would heat it up and it went on so smooth. I would let the stock hang in a...

    Carpentry question?

I would agree with bifold. For inside a house. Being in a garage with a chance of mice. The mice will run right under a bifold door. With that said I would go with one walk in door and its easy to seal up.

Taxidermy unit 4B north of Beach

I mounted 100's of Deer heads and you will break them scalpels trying to skin around the burr of the rack. Once I made the cut to the burr. I would take a hammer and screwdriver and tap between the hide and skull plate to get the hide off that part of the skull. You just have to be smarter than...
