Is the .243 to small for deer?

My heaviest was shot with a 6MM Remington (244) 105 grain Speer. He was on a fast lope behind a doe. I leaned out behind a tree. Drilled him head on at about 60 yards. He dropped like a brick, slid about 20 yards. The year was 1979 only deer we got. However we got 120 pounds of boned meat.

    Jamestown gun range going byebye

Agree 110%. The Range near GF is a perfect example. It is members only and you also have to be an NRA member. Which is fine as they have gotten grants from the NRA for lots of improvements. They do open it to the public for supervised "sight in" two days in October. Quoting Pogo: "We have...

Chili, one of my many favorites

At least a few times a year I use ground venison in my chili. Try to keep it simple but tasty with a little kick, however even when I use try to duplicate a recipe its always a little different. Kinda like snowflakes, but always good. Must drink copious quantities of Beer.:;:rockit

    Women ideas!!!

I too am very lucky. After 7 years in the old Red Ranger she said to me as we were storing the boat for the winter, "I think we need to get a new boat for next year". No lie. I have a friend who says he "married a fox that turned into a pit bull". ;:;banghead OUCH.

Fargo Diversion and the ND Game and Fish

Because in MN the DNR has the same power and responsibilities as the North Dakota Water Commission. The NDG&F does not have those responsibilities because the NDWC does.
