My heaviest was shot with a 6MM Remington (244) 105 grain Speer. He was on a fast lope behind a doe. I leaned out behind a tree. Drilled him head on at about 60 yards. He dropped like a brick, slid about 20 yards. The year was 1979 only deer we got. However we got 120 pounds of boned meat.
Might be a little early but saw a wall hanger around noon today out in the open in the the sandhills north of Mountain.
Didn't find any Pheasants though. ;) No Ruffed Grouse either, too many leaves.
Agree 110%. The Range near GF is a perfect example. It is members only and you also have to be an NRA member. Which is fine as they have gotten grants from the NRA for lots of improvements. They do open it to the public for supervised "sight in" two days in October.

Thanks guys for all the great responses. I will be trying/hoping for at least a 20 incher. Biggest so far has been 16. Plan on spending the end of this week on the water.

for Red Squirrels. Ok the little bugger is just out of range for my trusty ol Daisy Powerline 880. So I bought some non roasted peanuts and made a trail of them to get him in range.

Because in MN the DNR has the same power and responsibilities as the North Dakota Water Commission.
The NDG&F does not have those responsibilities because the NDWC does.
