    Zero Turn Recommendation

I had a Dixon for hmmmmm maybe 10 years. It was a great mower, but we lost that dealership and a year later a new guy took it over. After he ordered parts four or five times and still couldn't get it straight I bought a John Deer. I have had that about five years now. Have not had any...

    Storms

You may be right I don't know. If I had a quarter of land worth $10k per acre and the gov gave me $20k per acre I woukd think I would have a hard time being sad about it. Price is irrelevant it's the overcompensation which is my point. I think of Fema at Churches Ferry where some houses worth...

    Storms

What I don't understand is the fear of loss of cropland. We try sell grain to other nations because the price is low due to surplus. I'm not trying to stir the pot here I look at the efforts to export and the reason for many programs that have been developed to curtail surplus and wonder why...

    Storms

Checked my rain gauge here in Jamestown and we only had .22 inches. I don't think the wind was over 30 mph even though the radar showed the storm right on us. I worked all night the past two nights and I looking at the approaching lightning and the radar map I was expecting a lot more. It...

It wasn't bad at all in Jamestown. You right about the light show. The lightning kept making my infrared camera in the SWAT truck blink out.

    Good news/bad news

Congrats fj40. You will enjoy them. I have six grandkids and every time some kid in a restaurant or anywhere says hey grandpa I turn before thinking. At this stage of life one has more time to enjoy grandkids than we did our own.

    it's juneberry saskatoon serviceberry season

My juneberries are the variety that you get from NRCS. They are about ten feet tall now. I am wondering if I cut them back to four feet if they will bush. Anyone have an idea about this. The ripening is strange this year. Some berries are ripe and others area small and yellowish green yet.

    Air rifles

C Ahab I bought my Bluestreak in 1980. Shoots today just like it did new. With frontal head shots I have killed coons and a badger.

    Air rifles

Yes that was interesting. I seen one of them at the Winchester museum in Cody Wyoming. Napoleons outriders carried air guns. The opposing army would hang them as spies. They hated them because they were picking off their scouts with little noise to give away their position.

    Air rifles

I know a fellow here in Jamestown that has the 25 cal Marauder. It was on my list along with a drone, a 10mm Glock, and a new scope. The scope won a couple of days ago. So next time I work and get a little cash I ------------------- who knows? :;:huh

I need my 6.5x284 Cooper threaded for my suppressor. I just don't shoot much without a suppressor these days.

    Air rifles

When you go over 1116 fps at sea level (less the higher the elevation) you break the sound barrier and they are loud. You can solve that by going to heavy pellets. I know everyone pushes the light pellets, but they are noisy and part of the reason your destroying scopes. The PCP type have...

    Air rifles

I tried the Gammo and didn't like it. I bought a Beaman with Nitro piston. The 177 barrel shoots nice, but the 22 shoots crappy. I do have an old 20 cal Sheridan Blue Streak, but the pump up takes to long for a second shot.

    Alaska Vacation Ideas

All good advise, but I will mention a couple of things. When you take the buss trip in Denali go in the morning not the afternoon. People in the afternoon are always complaining because they didn't see bears etc. We took the morning buss tour and seen 11 grizzlies counting two that got in a...

    Suppressor Point of Impact Shift

My 300 am and my 308 win both shoot 3 inches low with suppressor, but I sight on with a suppressor and don't shoot without it. I don't get left and right, and that makes me think your barrel is contacting the stock. That or the threading is off center on rifle or suppressor. My 6.5s ate 2...
