    I've liked my Recon 5 so far. Comparing the Aqua View and Recon side by side in the store made me pick up the Recon. I don't have DVR or direction as I usually just use it to scope structure and water clarity.

    Back to the OP, I see no use for caliber carry rule. Like mentioned, if in cat country you may want to power to harvest a big lion or you only have one rifle(ha ha for most). Besides, what would the caliber be limited to? If it was .22, a guy could still whack a deer with 22-250 and so on...

    If Uncle what's his name is too feeble to pull the trigger on his own deer, he should not be putting in for a tag. Pretty simple. He can still come along, share stories and take somebody else's meat back with him though.
