There are some really interesting stories about fish in general. About fifteen years ago someone caught a tagged walleye in the north end of Van Hook that was tagged three days prior in white earth bay. That's a lot of miles in three days.
The Dam, The interstate, Air bases, Federal Farm Program, ACOE throughout the state, Border crossings/ICE, etc. etc. We have a lot many states don't have. So that list really doesn't paint the true picture.
limits on what? increases? must not be. I had a 1000% increase in valuation on some lots I had in one year. At least they attempted to until all the other lot holders went nuts too. So they only raised it 300%. I have never seen nor has anybody ever posted any statute supporting increase caps.
none of this blather really matters. it doesn't change the fact we are over taxed to the hilt here. Unless we have a major overhaul in the property tax situation we will no doubt see another initiated measure to eliminate property taxes and I'm guessing it will pass soundly this time...
Year ago Ward co. tried to raise the valuation on some lots I own from $1350 to $13,800 in one year. Many of the lot holders raised holy hell with them. The comparables they tried to use weren't even close. So after getting an earful they changed it to $3400 or so.
you haven't seen nothing yet. the big fucking is on it's way. they're just getting warmed up. you will see another referendum to end property taxes in the not too distant future. I don't think it'll happen until everyone's ass is full of calluses.
