    Interesting point on taxes. I think longterm, if agriculture had to abide by accrual accounting, everyone would be in MUCH better shape. Lots of bad decisions were made by producers trying to avoid taxes during the good years, now it is coming back to bite some real bad on a few down years.

    SUV recomendations

    I just picked up a Honda CRV for the wife. Only have about 3000 miles on it so far, it is AWD, Gets 24-27 so far on highway trips. Nice smaller SUV to drive. They seem to hold their value like crazy when looking at ones 3-5 years old.

    Get a map and look for contour changes/humps, this lake can be a finicky one if you aren't in the right spots. Access continues to be an issue on the big lake. Many spots are tracks/snowmobiles only this year, unless you like shoveling out a vehicle.
