    Montana Bear

I think it's going to take a couple feet of thread. I have seen dens, but not on this trip. The guy who runs cattle on the area I shot the bear was going back to sit on the carcass (we boned it out) for a couple of days. He was sure a cougar or a bear would be on it within 24 hours. He says...

    Montana Bear

:;:exactly flame throwers kill and cook at the same time. It's hard to get the seasoning on the bear if they are familiar with stop, drop, and roll.:) Seriously though the area did have a Forest fire about 15 years ago. I sure didn't want to try walk over across the canyon to the bear with the...

    Montana Bear

Sorry guys I posted on another thread and didn't realize that was bad etiquette. I at last made it to Montana a couple weeks ago. There was snow at the higher elevations. We covered six different mountain ranges in three days. The first day was serious hunting, the second day we were just...

    Montana goat trip

Gardiner is kind of small. I didn't know you could get that kind of yardage in Gardiner. :D. I too was waiting to see some nice white goats with jet black spike horns. I'll look for the pics. Edit: I don't understand the angst guys, I thought we had something in common hunting Montana and...

    Montana goat trip

jdinny bear hunting was good. We hunted six different mountain ranges in three days. Saw a sow with cubs in the Crazy Mountains. Shot a 20 year old female with no cubs. The biologist thought she may be to old to breed. He also said "big head for a girl". The cattleman (said he was not a...

    National Coming Out Day

I noticed in the news today that the gay and lesbian etc community is very angry with Johns Hopkins hospital because their studies show their is no biological link to homosexuality. Years ago when gays made the biological claim they quoted a research doctor. Unfortunately that doctor had the...

    Garden sucess

Actually grapes were still hanging and good last week. We had a frost last night, but I didn't look at them. I did go in the back yard and check my trail cam. A skunk, red fox, coyote, and two does with fawns have been here every night the past eight nights. Darn batteries were running low...

Grapes are Eidelwies answer Swainson. Not at home and can't check records so perhaps spelled way off base.

    Garden sucess

I am more into things I don't have to weed. The pears got away from me while I was gone this year. At least 300 lb on the ground. The grapes did ok. One half of one vine produced five gallons.

    National Coming Out Day

"We need not fire a single shot, they will fall like a ripe plum into our hands". I watched Kruschev make that statement years ago, and I agree with you svnmag. I think some people claim to be gay because they get special treatment. I also think those that have no problem with it will change...

    Canted Scope Reticle?

Try your level and a plumb bob at the same time. Then if they agree you know your cap and reticle are aligned with each other. Should be good to go but make sure your scope level agrees also. Then if your rifle was level when you tightened everything you should be good to go. Tool Crib of...

    Live from the field...

We came back from Walker, Minn late last night. The parade on I94 was still going strong. Surprised to see them coming so late. Hope they have a good hunt, but I couldn't help but think the zebra mussel has a lot more duck boats to ride on than fishing boats. Hope they clean them good.

    Canted Scope Reticle?

I have to screw the ocular way out to clear up the reticle for this old man. Then everything is a go. Only problem is I have had UV damage to the right eye and may have to start shooting left handed one of these days.

    Canted Scope Reticle?

Glad to hear that Kurt. Some people think the reticle is to "busy". I looked through them in Scheels and to me it looks nearly invisible when my eye is on the target.

    Canted Scope Reticle?

Kurt I ordered a new Vortex Viper PST first focal plane 6X24 with that C2 MOA reticle. Something like yours. I ordered the PST because it has the minutes numbered. Us old geezers have a hard time counting when we are excited about antlers.
