    Eagle took my pike

    Caught a walleye deep (~35' or so) and it wouldn't revive. Eagle in the tree on the tip of the island we were fishing near. Figured it'd go after the fish so got the long lens on my camera. Father in Law told me when the dive started and I hit the shutter button @ 8FPS.

    'Bird 898 on a Cisco. Boat was rigged that way when I bought it. Not sure if I'd have spent the $$ for it before, but I sure would now. It doesn't move in any water.

    Targeting Drum...any tips?

    Have you tried targeting them shallower in the water column with a slip bobber to keep bottom dwellers away? Hang whatever bait you want maybe 18-36" under a bobber. If nothing else you'll probably catch some magnum sized freshwater tarpon (skippies) that way.
