    It's gonna happen!!

not sure how the hell I misread that. yea it would make no sense considering much of that coating will be removed during install. Some requirements in bid documents make no sense but it still needs engineer approval to omit a process it's not up to the contractor. My point is...

    It's gonna happen!!

That's what I used to say too , Someone else that is/was directly involved with pipelines chimed in and claimed that you can't double pipe due to the fact that you can't use cathodic protection on double pipelines. That still doesn't make sense to me. - - - Updated - - - Oh heck yea...

    It's gonna happen!!

In all reality quite a bit of the external coating most likely gets worn/scratched off during the slide under the river anyway. For me, It's the fact that these projects that have a huge environmental impact continue to go unmonitored for the most part. It's worth repeating that North...

    It's gonna happen!!

Is this a federal or state permitted pipeline ? State permit across COE land ? Either way it's a joke , I blame whoever issued the permit. There should be no question between a contractor and ex-employee whether proper procedure was taken on a project of this environmental magnitude. North...

    Chokecherry wine recipe

yup sevn , Sounds like the memories are about the same. Dad had a 35 Gallon Red wing with one broken handle and a few hairline cracks that he cherished like it was made out of gold. The old basement walls were/are made from split field rocks and on one end is a "fruit room" where all the...

    Chokecherry wine recipe

If I had my Dads recipe I would certainly share it but I don't know if he ever kept notes , I remember he used a lot of sugar and complained about the price so we would make a trip to Canada to stock up on supplies. Sugar, Flour and a lot of other supplies were quite a bit cheaper in Canada

    Peregrine Falcons

What you don't think of . Worse yet I was born with extra curiosity and judging by the way they walk instead of crawl like most lizards I will guess yes.

    Peregrine Falcons

Pretty cool critter , Not something you like to think about when it's your live pet but they would make a cool mount. For that matter, I just googled pet taxidermy I see it's fairly common in other parts of the world.

Those are both pretty tricky too, Top one I found ok but the bottom one I thought I saw the legs but I'll be danged if I could see the cat. I walked away and watched the news and when I came back there it was attached to the legs.

Second one looks just like my cat , First one I'm not so sure if I see . If the tail curls around in front of the cat then I do , Otherwise I am seeing things or not seeing things, One or the other.

    12 Volt fridge/freezers

I have an old Igloo 36 kool mate that heats and cools, I cant remember exactly how old but It's about 20 and doesn't have a freezer compartment so it doesn't get very cold but it did what I wanted it to do. It ran 24/7 for the first 5 years I had it, Heating in winter and cooling in summer so...

    Peregrine Falcons

Yea that's what the old timers always called them, Fun to watch them fold and freefall for mice and snakes when the combines are going in the fall. We also watched them take little chicks in the yard.

    Sturgis, anyone going?

Pretty sure he is feeling no pain , He died about 10 years ago, He and the Marlboro man were both a bad influence on me when I was a kid. His Son Robbie still jumps some I think, He was jumping in Vegas a few years ago in fact I should look it up, I think Robbie jumped the Snake river canyon...
