    mrs johnr actually picked our boat out. I had a paid for 17 ft Fisher with a 75HP on the back. She was tired of the size of it, and being reluctant to fish in winds over 10mph, which in western ND is 99% of the time. she loves fishing more than I do, as long as its open water.

    We have been in the seasonal drawing at Mckenzie bay for 5 yrs or so. We can pull in may to the end of October. The Corp is in charge of most of the camping around sakakawea. This year we are not spending the season there, plan on spreading it around

    225 optimax on the back of my lund ProV, about 52-53mph max. I rarely run wide open. Seems I'm not in a huge hurry

    I spent $38k on mine 8 yrs ago. Was way more than I was looking to spend, but spread that out over likely 15 to twenty years I will be using it, it's $1,500 a year, out in the boat 35 times a year it's down to about $35 a trip. Pretty cheap day of fun for a family day out.
