Was a well driller all my life but Semi retired and still farm a little. Empty nest and grandkids to take fishing and exploring the great outdoors, This will be the first real summer of my second childhood.
exact same results , I can't remember if I have even caught one slip bobbering. I think the northers have them on a dead run , I caught two in one pass and tried jigging a swedish pimple , caught a big northern within a few seconds.
Tried to target them at Devils Lake in the summer and failed , It seemed like when I picked one up it was a loner. It was hard to keep trying with no results but This summer I'm trying again. Deeper ? I know they are in there and it bugs the crap out of me.
Anyone familiar with boat grills ? I love the smell and taste of briquettes but gas is so much handier , Do the gas ones perform better out in the wind better than a normal gas grill ?
