    Instead of College

Yeah the only thing on that list that should be "required" is some extensive personal finance which schools do have in some form I believe just not enough. Bismarck does have a Career Academy but not quite sure what is all offered through that. Maybe more things could be offered as electives...

    Hazelton Boat ramp

Wind does affect the gauges, but looks like the lake did actually raise that much as the inflows really surged and are now going back down. I'm thinking that was the main surge of local runoff and now we wait for the mountain runoff.

Sounds like I need to put the tesla shingles on my house!

    Hazelton Boat ramp

The mountains are a little above average but that water has to come through Peck and Sak which are both low as well. I think Oahe will benefit a little from all the ND runoff that flows unimpeded to Oahe.

    Another winter storm

Looks like they moved the snow totals west a bit.

    Throwback Pike

Wowzer, that thing was probably close to 30#. Back in about 02-03 I got a 24# through the ice in the spring on Sak. I didn't get a measure on it though. Only fish we caught that day as well and released her to swim again. This pic reminds me of that but this one looks bigger than mine.

Aluminum Lund V going to win the Bassmaster Classic? Looks like he has a good chance

There was an event on Oahe last year out of Mobridge I think, not sure what kind of crowds they had. Also remember that this event was the Superbowl of bass fishing which is why the crowds were a lot bigger and just the fact that bass fishing in general has a much larger audience the corwds and...

Aluminum Lund V going to win the Bassmaster Classic? Looks like he has a good chance

Clearly the G.Loomis rods made up for the non-sparkly boat. Just imagine what he could have done with both!

    Your Most Expensive Fishing Rod

For regular fishing about the most expensive I've bought are St Croix Avid and Fenwick Elite Tech and I've bought those on sale. I do also fly fish and that's where things get expensive. Cheap rods are $200, mid priced $500, top of the line $1k+

    Stratos Boats

I have no experience with them but I believe they have ceased production so just take that into account when purchasing and future resale value. If your looking at a Stratos with an Evenrude G2 you better be getting one heck of a deal haha.

    So...Recession?

Plenty of people paying cash, plenty of people financed to the max, either way I don't care. I do encourage all my friends to buy as many things as possible that I can benefit from though. Pontoons, ice houses, campers etc. I'm not going to buy them, but I encourage others too :)

    Winnipeg

Yeah I've never understood wanting to keep fish to eat up there. That lake is polluted as hell, which is where the Neon Green color comes from. Those fish are swimming around in RRV fertilizer and Winnipeg sewage.

2023 North Dakota class B boy basketball tournament this weekend

Looks like all four teams left are schools that will be in the middle class next year, and I think 3 of the 4 final girls teams were as well.

    Banks?

However you feel about Trump, did he not specifically rollback some of the Dodd-Frank regulations that included allowing these banks to keep fewer deposits on hand so they were able to invest more money? It sounds like the CEO of SVB was even one of the people that lobbied for that change. The...

    Banks?

I don't think FDIC is comparable to your personal insurance. It also exists to keep confidence in the banking system as nobody has ever lost a penny in an FDIC insured institution. That's what we are seeing here, depositor funds guaranteed to stop more bank runs and a further crisis.

    Banks?

It sounds like just the depositors are being protected by the FDIC program which I believe is funded by premiums paid by banks. It doesn't sound like the bank itself or any shareholders are being bailed out with taxpayer money.
