    I always keep our decks cleaned of snow. 30 year old cedar decks still in good shape. Maintenance is much cheaper than replacement.

    Cortisone is the last option before surgery. They have other stuff to inject first. Losing weight helps a bunch. Keep active as much as possible. Suck it up buttercup. Pain can be tolerated.

    About a month ago Bismarck had rain on top of ice. I got out of my truck at work. Slanted drive way. Started walking to the door. I realized that I was going to fall for sure. So I dropped to my knees and crawled to where it was safe to walk. Getting old sucks!

    Personally I never start peppers or tomatoes before April 10th. I like stout stalks with lots of roots. Plenty of time if you start in April. Peppers do not like cool weather - May. I have grown hundreds of tomatoes and peppers and never put them in the ground before the end of May. To tell...
