    Smoking/Grilling Info Sharing

Thanksgiving and the smoked turkey forum got me thinking about getting my turkey out of the freezer. I saw tikka and woodpecker put up some tips for brines. Anyone have other brine recipes they are willing to share or is a simple salt and sugar just the best way to go? I have never done much...

I have not. I suppose I should check to see if they didn't get eaten by a bear, not sure if bears like smurfs so KDM should be ok at least. - - - Updated - - - I have been busy this weekend trying to bag a rifle buck and my other buddy his big bow buck so I can start a click bait, tip tease...

Talk me into a deer rifle

Unless you are just looking at playing with a different caliber I see nothing wrong with sticking with the 308. As far a as rifles go I have been intrigued lately with the different scout rifles on the market and I believe that some are pre threaded for a suppressor.

    The Great Escape

In the article pictures I didn't see anything marking the deer to tip off that they were not wild animals such as a colored ear tag so how was anyone supposed to know. If it was myself and I was...

    Barnes Ammo

I reload and have not tried factory Barnes ammo but would suggest it is worth a try. To say "whiteails don't need a premium bullet" I disagree with but in the end it is what shoots consistently and performs to your liking. I first went to Barnes 140 tsx and ttsx in my 7mm because I didn't like...

    Timber wolves~

Few years back around Jan Feb was working in that area surveying and had to go back to a logging road to the truck for spare supplies. Fresh 3-4" of snow that morning and while at the truck decided to step off to the side and do some "paperwork" quick, finished up to see a few fresh wolf tracks...

Not sure what is going on

My guess is that the white truck had some experimental pontoons that were not fastened on enough and detached causing major suck and wet feet. On a serious note prayers to the families, sounds like a very sad deal.
