    So...over time...a person who has his lines in the water longer SHOULD be able to boat more fish, correct?     If a person has the means, go for it, knock yourself out on whatever size yacht you want. If a person doesn't have the means and just wants to keep up with the Jones's ..well then, perhaps that person needs to readjust priorities.     Good topic...and timely.. Our area actually is fortunate to have a class such as this. I think it is like the 2nd or 3rd yr in a row now. The class is free although I am sure they wouldn't mind getting a new member or 2 from this class. I went to it last year. Good info.

    I see the annual Bemidji Dragon Boat festival is this weekend as well. I think that is just 15 minutes west of Cass Lake. We took in the festival one year when we were in the area.     I believe this is spot on and thus my previous comment about other shenanigans at Reservation Casino's, not necessarily fishing tournaments but gaming machines. I prefer to play/waste my hard earned dollar at a some local town blackjack table IMPO. Its just one mans opinion but it is mine.
