I agree Tim. I was within .2 each day of what the scale said both days. We did cash a check and I know that the weight that we had was correct. I heard a lot of people say "I figured we had 11 pounds, we weighted 14 at the scale." The tournament has potential with a few corrections. I don't know if I have ever caught so many fish in 3 days ever! All of these problems can be corrected and I hope that they do.

No. Todd Dooley got it and he said was legit. Said wish he did weigh on the off scale as it woulda been a 12 pounder!

I think most of this stuff is born out of lazy stupidity rather than cunning acumen.

Broad brush. Not all tourneys or tourney anglers act with such wreckless disregard of social decency. Actually, in my experience, it is the exception rather than the norm.

Sounds like the only way they will get it together in the future is if everyone boycotts the thing next year.
In this day and age of money tournaments having goofy boundaries rules, phony scales, etc should not be tolerated. With the money involved, you would expect the guys that run it to be Johnny on the spot.

After fishing this tournament for the first time it makes me really appreciate how well other tournaments like the Governor's Cup are run. Between the scales, flight times and payout problems it will be tough to pay to fish this again.

I really felt cheated in this one. We had a solid day one all 19 3/4' fish -21 1/4" for 14 1/2 lbs right about what I thought I would have. Then a buddy came into weight and he had a 20" fish and rest smaller he figured 9-10lb max he had 13.5lbs. I was like wtf? So I asked the tournament official if we could weight the next basket at both scales just to confirm they were same. So guy cam in with nice fish at the north scale said 22.59 which I knew there was no way. So we took basket and walked them 30 yards to other scale and they were 18.34lbs. I was floored!!!! They didn't know what to say to me. Then the tournament official lied to me and said no there not different as he proceeded to show the lady at the scale that she wasn't zeroing the basket.

How long do you think this went on WSWAT? I know a couple guys who weighed early and it was ok. But curious if you think it was going on for a long time? I know a guy who weighed very late (first flight floating on water for 1.5 hours) and he got the benefit. There could be 75 or more teams who got the benefit assuming every other bag went to scale.

I believe that the teams that weighted in early were right but once the flights came in after the down time the person at the north scale completely forgot to zero basket. I would say 75 teams min got this benefit.

I know a guy who weighted 4 19" fish for 13.5lbs and he thought it was right. I said to him even if every one of your 19" fish weighted 3lbs each that's still only 12 and I'm pretty sure they were closer to 2.5lbs. He thought a little and was like wow your right.

Of the estimated 75 teams I know three that would have changed their weights. I wish more people would have spoken up much earlier in the ball game and said whoa, my 18 inchers don't weigh 15 pounds.

That's two black eyes in two years for this tournament. They need to figure something out. New leadership is obviously needed. Entry fee is one thing. Look at the money spent on fuel, food, lodging, etc.
