Pittbull breed, what do you think?

Daughter adopted one that was gentle as can be...but i agree that when the breed gets agitated they can yield bad consequences. I would not want one.

Question for boat trailer and lift

I wouldn't even attempt to walk on an 8' 2x6 laying flat to bridge a gap...sounds like your loading from the boat is going to far exceed my body weight.

    Shop/Man Cave/Trophy Room Planning

Time to revive the mancave thread, I have had the shell up for ten years while acquiring materials so i am finally in the finishing out the interior phase. keep the ideas coming. I have a relatively small space since I am on a 1.25 acre lot...24'x36' with a 2nd floor room. Main floor is a single...

    Boat Insurance

My only experience with Progressive was enough to never want them as my insurance carrier. I had a new car hit by a progressive customer. I told the body shop I wanted only parts from the auto manufacturer...called at the end of the week to see if its done and they said didn't start on it cause...

    Hunting knives

If I was only going to have one knife as you describe I would use my Buck Special (about $60?) which they now make it a more expensive better steel ($200?) that I haven’t tried, but it is good allrounder fixed blade for field dressing and butchering up to elk size. I like to use fillet knives...

    Whoopers

I saw two in a northbound flock of sandhills north of Bismarck the other day. Have actually seen whoopers quite a few times over the years while bird hunting northeast of Wilton. First time I saw some, my Dad took me a block north of Bismarck's Grimsrud School to see about 20 in the field south...

    Car restoration

My friends and I were hot rodders in the 1970's and 80's...I had a 67 Cougar that I stripped to the unibody and restored/built the 289 up to about 375 hp...used to beat a lot of big blocks to 70 mph, but those were stock motors that I could outpace for a little while...25 years later sold the...

    Savings account alternative??

I knew a guy that would by a couple Winchester Model 70 rifles every year for an alternative retirement savings account...knew another guy that bought classic cars for investments, then sold later for big increases that were not taxed.

    Make A Pest a Meal

In the broke college student days we ate squirrel, cottontail and even muskrat twice. Squirrel is tough meat but fun to hunt.

    Casting rod

I'll second the Scheels One 7' rod and spinning combo, great quality for the $$$...I like the ML for pitching light floating cranks. Also have a new similar Fenwick from Dakota Tackle I can't wait to try out.

    OAHE Smelt Run

Used to go to the Fox Island boat ramp at midnight during the run and get a few gallons for bait with a scoop net...they seemed to like the yard light at the dock...tried eating a few battered and fried, tasted like I needed to have been brought up in an alternative heritage to enjoy eating...

    What are you SHTF plans?

I read the hyper missiles travel at Mach 5...about 3600 mph. One hour has 3600 seconds, so about a mile a second. 30 minutes would then be an 1800 mile flight path. And at 5280 fps you wont see or hear it coming...kinda hard to shoot down with conventional defense weapons.

    Kayak question

Lots of things to consider, such as how will you be hauling them? I can fit a 12 footer in the back of my super duty short box with the tailgate down so I don’t need a roof rack. I have four kayaks but I prefer the sit in for recreational use and I have a sit on top one for fishing. Pungo is a...
