    bird migration moving west???

Having grown up in the New Town area, I think I can say that there were plenty of waterfowl moving south in that area during the 1980s. Effectively, they seem to follow the Prairie Pothole Region of ND. And the western edge of that roughly starts in western ND and hugs the Missouri all the way...

    High Temp Cheese

I know Butcher Block over in Mandan often has a variety of HT cheese available in various weights in their fridges. Otherwise, Cashwise is also good as they will sell the bulk bags or break it down into whatever size you want. I guess I don't know the prices offhand, but how freaking much are...

    Tires "AGAIN"

Not a problem, buy your tires from where you get your oil changed. I believe when I was buying my tires through Eide Ford in Bismarck, not only did they price match the tires, but they also added in free tire rotations. Which at every 5k was equal to my oil change interval on the 6.4L diesel.

    opti-max oil

I'n not sure about that. I have about $65 into an oil change on my Merc 150 4S every 100 hours, or end of season even if I don't have 100 hrs on it. Do the modern 2-Strokes use that much oil in 100 hrs of general operation? - - - Updated - - - One thing I will add to this topic is this: A...

What’s up with Dakota Storm Stalkers???

I may be a little biased, but last time I paid attention there's still about 50 qualified applications for every meteorologist opening at the National Weather Service. Competition like that suggests the best in the business offer up their expectations (not just the worst case scenario) for free...

    Knee injury

I know a guy who slightly tore a muscle in his shoulder. He had a bruise like that from his elbow to his shoulder blade. All without a lot of pain. Nonetheless, even if you didn't before, you officially now have the ugliest leg on NDA, and I don't even need/want to see the other competitors'...

    What a beast

Yep, 4 available tags with minimum bids of $5k. I wonder what the winning bids were this year.... - - - Updated - - - Just learned that there's a whole Hunting the Rock series of videos on Youtube and a FB page. Pretty fun watching when you compare it to all the canned HF hunts...

ND Game and Fish Regulation Change!!!!!!!

Umm, considering much of the money is given to local chapters of some volunteer outdoors type, isn't that a worthwhile charity?

    Tires "AGAIN"

I ran Hankook DynaPro ATMs for a couple cycles on my F250 and tended to like everything about them but the cost. I suppose I was getting a little over 40k miles per set. Switched over to the Sumitomo ATs last fall and while considerably less expensive, I have been just as happy with them as I...

    Stove question.

Yeah, 220 under a load is no joke. It knocked me right the hell off a ladder one time, thank heavens I was awkwardly leaning away from the ladder or I might still be sizzling on that SOB.

Can Opener that is Worth a $hit

This reminds me, I should take my toaster apart. It's spring isn't wound tight enough to lift the toast high enough out of the toaster to grab it. Always have to lift on the damn handle to retrieve the toast, and that pisses me off.

Epizootic Hemorrhagic Disease (EHD) in SW ND

Yeah, I don't know if anyone has ever considered soil type as a host for the midge. What is known though is that the Little Missouri River corridor is god awful when it comes to EHD. As well as many of the other small streams paths through the state. The infected deer are often seeking water...

Epizootic Hemorrhagic Disease (EHD) in SW ND

Right, and I would have thought our early Sept freeze/frost would have knocked it back some this year. Maybe it was too early, or not as cold as was reported though.

Epizootic Hemorrhagic Disease (EHD) in SW ND

Mule deer don't appear very susceptible to EHD, but WT certainly are hit hard by it. And it's in the same spots, just about every time. Pretty much the SW part of the state, not sure I've heard of it as a big problem east of highway 83, or north of highway 2.
