    Painters tape, the blue stuff and wide. Window foam and exato knife play with it until you get what you want for feel, then go from there. It will give some what of a pattern.

    If you got a roller trailer you should be able to winch it back on, or if its a busy ramp 10 guys will pick it up and put it back on trailer for you. Then just go to back of line.

    The first thing you should do is take it out in shallow water and tip it so you learn how to get back right side up, so I have been told.

    what do you use for bite indecator on windy days???

    A small piece of Styrofoam a little off rod tip and leave bail open. Styrofoam pops off when you reel in. I have used the shotgun shell method if I remember to bring some.

    why do you hunt out west

    Been there done that. The clean air, the sky a deep blue that you can only see at 10,000 ft. So quiet that you can hear ravines three miles away. Just so relaxing to sit and ponder how great it would be to live there. Would love to have my ashes put in a special place but have no one fit enough...

    Cell phones are for out going calls only while in the boat, unless its a booty call. Then I would think twice, depends on weather and bite.

    Early Season Boat Concerns

    Make sure you have a spare pee plug. They have a tendency to disappear. I have 4 extra, one in boat, one in truck and 2 in tackle boxes so when I travel with others. Same with fuse's. Always carry extra every where.
