can someone explain the logic behind this

I think that they have observed an increased trend with people buying online that don't remember/know they needed the general game license to hunt deer. So there have been an inordinate number of people getting busted in the field while deer hunting without the general game license. In the...

    Battery Storage

I don't remember where, maybe either Eide or Cedric Theel, but there's a poster out there that talks about how long one should expect a car battery to last. I used to think that the cold was hard on them, but according to the poster the batteries suffered a lot more in the south where it gets...

    Battery Storage

Let's see, three batteries on boat, same for Toon, one in camper, generator, tractor, mower, 2 for pickup, 4Runner, UTV, so I have to replace several batteries a year, on average. Truth is, so long as they don't have a draw on them they are fine being stored in the vehicle for 2-4 months. If...

    Aging game meat

My issue with hanging pheasants is the yuck associated with where the bb's have pushed hide and feathers into the meat. I'm pretty sure there are bacteria on the feathers and skin, so you've created quite the little petri dish in the shot channels for bacteria. Then again, maybe I just need to...

    No trespass

Oh, I think there are plenty of pay to hunt places in SD. I do wonder though if it's more than what we already have in ND? One big difference though is that in SD you are allowed to ditch hunt. The general thought up here is that the ditches remain under the control of the adjoining...

    6.7 cummins delete...

Edit, I don't know if the dealer will do a full DPF delete, but Eide offers SCT tuner as an upgrade from their diesel shop. Looks like it comes with "upgrades" to the exhaust system, but I don't know enough about modern diesels to know what they heck these upgrades are in the first place.

    Need a little prayer

College students attending a ND school can hunt as a resident. While there's some paperwork, that's the short answer.

    Lake Turnover - When

The intake to the dam's powerhouse, etc is not variable. A few years back when the lake was really low, the Corps had divers go down to put sheets of plywood over the lower part of the intake to help cut back on the amount of cold water that was being discharged. Obviously, this was being done...

    Lake Turnover - When

That would be true up around Williston, but by the time you get to New Town she sure does.

    Lake Turnover - When

Technically speaking, lakes less than 20 ft deep don't turnover as you would expect. They are shallow enough to where the water mixes due to wave action. And since Audubon is not very deep on average, it is one of those lakes. Sak sure does though.

    Aging game meat

If the garage temps are right I will let it hang for 2-4 days. If it's too warm, I don't like the bacteria getting more than their fair share, so I will skin and cut them up as soon as they are out of rigor mortis. If it's really warm, I carve them up immediately. Oh, and I prefer for them to...

Boot Review - Scheels Crispi Summit

It would seem that no two feet are alike. I like soft-sided boots as I've never had an issue with rolling an ankle. For the life of me, I can't imagine ever wanting to order boots online with the differences between manufacturers in sizing.

    mice in camper

SDMF, I think MSA would say that's a female garter snake. He'd also tell you they are hell on mice. I still have both in abundance.
