    Trespass Bill

Eye, some of you guys always read more into it than what is there. Plainsman never goes to the Capitol or public forums or out in public. I'm teasing/prodding him to come out of his hidey hole and physically drive to Bismarck. I'd like to meet the dumb shit.

    Trespass Bill

PrairieGhost said, Nope, but I may be a spectator. What I said was, if you Plains, come to the Capitol and testify and your testimony is so over the top that you win it, I will buy you a steak dinner and drinks. I'm entirely safe that won't happen. ;)

    Trespass Bill

PrairieGhost writes, ""Excellent point, also an excellent point and another excellent point."" No they are not. If anyone repeats what's written in those posts at a sub committee hearing then be prepared to get your ears pulled. Plainsman, you are so full of poor advice. I've been to...

    NFL playoffs

A couple years ago the refs took a touch down away from Dez Bryant saying he didn't have control allowing the Pus Bay Packers to win. Yesterday the announcers brought it up and dubbed it touchdown or no touchdown and showed a replay. Yep, the refs wear green and yellow stripes. Yesterdays match...

    Trespass Bill

Yes it will impact sportsmen. But that is "not" why the sponsors of this Bill drafted it. The sponsors want something done about the protesters. Right now their angry and they don't care if Sport hunting is collateral damage. I don't like more and more laws. Each time a law is passed we all...

    Trespass Bill

This Bill makes a few changes to existing law. Underlined is new law, over struck is canceled language. http://www.legis.nd.gov/assembly/65-2017/documents/17-0902-01000.pdf I called it from the beginning of this thread. Do not go to the subcommittee hearing lecturing the Senators how this is...

    Trespass Bill

Eye, some days I just don't know about you. OK, let's put ALL new politicians in office and when the people who are tired of the shit show in Morton County draft a no trespassing Bill and demand that their elected Representative carry it, then what? The people in southern Morton County...

Hunting land for sale $376 dollars per acre

When a person disputes an easement with USFWS, it's his money against theirs. They have more. For instance, grandpa signed an easement back in 1965 and they drew a circle of ten acres in the middle of 160. Today's farming is way different and a landowner needs to have them mark it out or...

    I don't like mosquito's, maybe it's the bloodthirsty female mosquito's I don't like?

Hunting land for sale $376 dollars per acre

I guess I haven't been paying attention if we have less bumble bees now than I was a kid. But I do see them. At my farm we don't use pesticides except for sunflowers. Bees love sunflowers. If there is a weevil infestation in the flowers they are sprayed by airplane. Have a beekeeper with...

Hunting land for sale $376 dollars per acre

When a fed/gov agency puts forth a proposal, by law they have to hold public hearings all over the State to gauge support or interest. Slick Lloyd Jones (head of USFWS in ND) (retired) (yea) would MC the meetings. I attended the one in Bismarck concerning the Dakota Grasslands Conservation Area...

Hunting land for sale $376 dollars per acre

So where does the fed/gov get the money to purchase easements? There are several funding mechanisms. There are many proposals put forth looking for money. North Dakota has been staring down the barrel of a big one since 2011. $588 million dollars worth. The Dakota Grasslands Conservation Area...

    Trespass Bill

Permit me to answer. There are more outdoor programs that were used as the template to dream up Measure 5, (the oil revenue rip off.) Money comes into all States from the Land Water Conservation Fund. At the federal level it is oil and gas lease money from the Atlantic Outer Continental Shelf...

    Bill proposed for Crossbow Hunting

Bill Helphrey has been the lobbyist or spokesperson for the Bow Hunters Association much too long. Old codger needs to go. He's against everything. What ever they're paying him is WAY too much.

    Bakken Oilfield poll

From GST Desert News story: That reminds me of a story. A few guys took a pack string up the mountain on switchbacks. The guy telling the story said he was mid to further back when all of sudden panicked horses mules and gear were coming down the mountain at him. He reached into the scabbard...

Hunting land for sale $376 dollars per acre

Whoa, I didn't realize it was right next to a paved highway on two sides. Thanks Dean. Only place left to comfortably hunt would be the back 40.

    Bakken Oilfield poll

I live in coal country. Back in the 70's and early 80's we experienced the influx/impact. In the papers everyday. Today it is peaceful with everyone working and raising their families.

Hunting land for sale $376 dollars per acre

Yep, the auction bill says the old farmstead has good access to a camper or motor home. If a guy dug in some poles to build a roof over your camper for shade, you're probably going to get a visit from USFWS. I don't suppose anything permanent can be afixed to the land.
