Is the boat sitting in a marina, lift, or being trailered every outing?
If it's staying put in/on the water I'd be getting a long SOB like the guides are using.

A main battery switch is located OUTSIDE any compartments has me feeling confident I can stop the shorting/smoldering if necessary if I ever smell "that smell".
One thing I do when it comes to netting "lunkers" is I am trying to get a good look at the hook set as we battle the fish. If it's down deep I relax and let the fish tire - if it's hanging by a thread on her lip my netting (or advice to my netter) is way different - I know we probably got one...

not my cup of tea - I prefer to scratch out a limit well away from the crowds IF I CAN - and that's not always the case of course
