    Robo calls.

Used to be I was getting 2-3 robo calls daily from the same area code as my phone. I'd block every one. They must have changed something, because now I'm getting them from EVERYWHERE: Oregon, New York, Utah...the list goes on. Still ignore the call and block the number. I must have 500 blocked...

    More on Ticks~

I second (third?) NexGard chewables. Use them on my two GWPs. Way easier than the topical stuff, and no worries about getting it on your hands or whatever. I still find this stuff fascinating. I always assumed that the tick/flea stuff REPELLED bugs. Oh no. Not at all. It KILLS THEM. Only...

New State Record Walleye Caught any truth?

Isn't spawn long gone? That thing looks full of eggs. Or maybe it just ate a bunch of 14" perch.

    Gasoline Price?????

I live on the north end of town. The Loaf N'Jug down the street from my house is $2.59 still. I imagine not for long.

    Old Trolling Motor Issue

No. It literally is just the "Auto Pilot" series. 55 lb 12 volt.

    Old Trolling Motor Issue

So I have an older Minn Kota "Auto Pilot" trolling motor. It has the POS foot control that I KNOW you all have seen. Basically an on-off switch, a slide switch from 0-10 for speed, and a big pedal to control the head left or right. Well, the control took a shit. I took it apart and tried to...

Dog Training Suggestions - German Shorthair Pointer

If you have some time, you can do it yourself. The local NAVHDA chapter in Bismarck is active and hosts tests every year. I believe they have regular training groups during the summer. You should check them out. Just a suggestion -- I know training isn't for everyone. But it's damn satisfying if...

    Adult beverage talk

For local beer, anything from Junkyard Brewing in Moorhead is friggin' delish. Otherwise I've got a serious hankering for plain vodka sodas with a splash of lime. Or gin and tonics. Or brandy Pepsis.

    Anyone snare rabbits?

I once put a live trap out because the rabbits were playing heck on our meager little city garden. Plus, every time they'd get in the yard, the Bros. Wirehair would go absolutely bonkers. So I set out a live trap near their entry point and waited. For a solid two weeks, on a daily basis, I was...

    Concrete advice needed- Mudjacking

I'd invest in poly foam injection. Mudjacking doesn't last. Poly is a bit more expensive, but darn near bulletproof. We're getting bids now to get a bunch of leveling work done.

I just figure it's some algorithm that shows how many times you've visited the Coffee thread, multiplied your post count, and karma factored in. You get deductions for visiting politics and being from Wisconsin.

    The Great Minnesota Muskie War

That's my biggest question, too. Seems a bit hypocritical from an agency that seems to do so much to "naturalize" certain areas, but then is totally OK changing the natural ecosystem of other areas just.

Good News Guys, I'm starting my own conservation group................

I second the plastic sleeves. Where I grew up near the Twin Cities, the urban deer were pretty thick. A nearby landowner had a 40 of CRP and decided it would have better future residential building appeal if he planted Sherwood Forest. Couple thousand white sleeves dotting the rolling CRP looked...

Teaching/Learning to shoot w/both eyes open

There was an old shooting instruction video I watched where this old guy showed his grandson how to train to shoot with both eyes open. He threw out a bunch of ping-pong balls in the yard, and then gave him a Red Ryder lever action BB gun. The idea was to see how many balls he could hit and how...

    New Lure Excitement

Kinda reminds me of this product. Clam stole it, as I'm certain I saw another company come out with it first. But whereas Clam is focusing on the ice fishing presentation, the other company showed how it could be used during open water, too:

    Started or finished dog?

I think if you're getting a started dog, you have to have some SERIOUS confidence in who you're buying it from that it's started to the level that was advertised. I know personally some breeders and trainers who sell "started" dogs that they've had kenneled for over a year and get out to play...
