I haven't had an issue yet, but typically only run them on my light and med light rods. My heavier rod I run a cross lock snap mostly because I typically have a darter or rippin rap on that rod.

The Eskimo Grizzly sled is not like the other eskimo sleds. It is well built, but I would still get an Otter Lodge. I have had one for 5 or 6 years and it holds up great.
