    Panic buying.

Well, in your defense, if you Ackley-Improved your 308, installed a 26" bbl and got just the right balance of BC and projectile weight, drift/drop would almost catch a 1:8 243Win or 6Creed shooting 108's from a 20" bbl. I'll leave out the 110 A-Tip to try and keep it fair.....

308's get exponentially better after they've been run through a 7-08 sizing die.

    I HATE coyotes!!!!

Between stands, leaving it in the box/back of a vehicle isn't a bad idea. For pretty much all my optics the mircofiber towels that come on a roll like paper-towels about all I use anymore. The 1st time they leave a smudge, or, heaven forbid get dropped and land on the ground or the pickup...

    Crazy Wardens

Busted as in "gave him a ticket"? Busted meaning arrested? Or busted as in "wanted to talk to the guy in a tux for a few minutes to see if he was DUI and let him go with a warning?". My in-laws have an 80Ac hobby farm in central MN. I swap to brights and sweep the field on both sides of the...

    I HATE coyotes!!!!

Haven't seen a system I like yet for managing the cord. Sooner or later it's in the way, and then it gets ripped out of the plug in side of the scope and potentially buggers up the connection. It never buggers up the cheap side in the battery, always the expensive side component the battery is...

    I HATE coyotes!!!!

I can say for certain that an AR will run fine @ -15F ambient. The 1st answer is, it depends. Are you leaving it on all the time or do you have it in standby? Are you running an LRF? Is the LRF on continuous or single-press measurements? I have to put my scope in standby if I don’t want to...

The real questions are: Is Buffalo Lake for everyone, or locals only? Docked or standard length tails?

    I HATE coyotes!!!!

IMO, thermal rigs pretty much require an adjustable length stock because they only have 1.5”-2” worth of eye relief vs. 3.5-4” of a regular scope. Adjustable AR, chassis of some sort, or something w/some different “modules” to shorten LOP.

Having LRF in either the scope or handheld scanner is a giant help. You don’t need it in both but I’d strong suggest you at least have one or the other.

    I HATE coyotes!!!!

Like Kurtr said, you freeze-frame and move the reticle to the bullet-hole. That’ll get you close. After that initial “get close”, I sighted mine in dead-on @ 200yds, just like my other hunting rifles. For mine, each pixel or “click” is about 2/3” @ 200yds. 53 V-Max @ 3100FPS sighted dead on...

Lots of records in the house growing up. Neither mom nor dad were into country. Billy Joel, Elton John, Doobie Brothers, Head East, Eagles, Kansas, Cat Stevens, Jerry Rafferty, Jim Croce, Anne Murray, Olivia Newton John, and Carley Simon off the top of my head.

    Accidental shooting Delamere

Understood, and I respect your opinions. I was out during the day and night on a couple of those foggy/misty days last week. I could discern more detail, at a longer distance w/the thermal gear than I could w/good binos and/or my regular daytime rifle scope during the peak daylight hours. I...
